Anyone can provide first aid. Often, the first aider at the scene of an accident is someone who was just passing by and wanted to help. Our first aid courses can give you the skills, knowledge and confidence to handle emergency situations.
We offer a wide choice of training packages, customized to your specific needs. All courses are the recognized St. John Ambulance courses and all training is in accordance with St. John Ambulance standards and meet Occupational Health and Safety requirements. Students who successfully complete our courses will receive St. John Ambulance certification.
The first aid courses we offer are: Emergency First Aid (1 day), Standard First Aid (2 days), Enhanced Standard First Aid (3 days), First Aid In Child Care, First Aid On The Farm
Learn to recognize and provide intervention for life threatening emergencies until medical aid arrives. Emergency First Aid assumes that medical aid is nearby and will be available in a few minutes. If you could find yourself in a situation where medical help is not nearby you might want to consider the Standard First Aid course.

Standard First Aid is a comprehensive 14 hour first aid course which covers all topics in Emergency First Aid plus:
People who do not have immediate access to emergency medical services should consider Standard First Aid.

Enhanced Standard First Aid is a comprehensive 3 day course which includes all modules of Standard First Aid including all those which are optional in Standard First Aid. This course is a pre-requisite for anyone wishing to attend the St. John Ambulance Instructor Certification Program and for the EMR (Emergency Medical Responder) program.
First Aid In Child Care is designed for professional child care workers as well as for parents or anyone caring for small children. This 16 hour course includes first aid; adult, child and infant resuscitation; childhood illnesses; medication administration; child abuse/neglect and child safety.
A valid First Aid In Child Care certificate is required for day home/day care workers.
First Aid On The Farm is a 5 or 6 hour course for farm families or families on acreages. Learn to recognize potential farm hazards and to provide immediate first aid for farm-related injuries. The 5 hour course (recommended for children age 12 to 14) includes the following topics:
The 6 hour course adds adult CPR and is recommended for those who are 14 years of age or over.
Throughout, the course includes exercises or mini-workshops to discuss hazards on the farm and ways to reduce the risk of injuries. This course is designed for the entire farm family to include children 12 years of age and over.
