RG Fuchs Consulting Ltd. provides training in first aid, CPR and related subjects in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and surrounding area. Our instructors are licensed by St. John Ambulance, a leader in first aid training, and our courses are St. John Ambulance certified.

Because we are small, we are able to give that extra little bit of personal service the bigger guys may not. We try to be flexible and react quickly to your specific needs. Overhead is low so our rates can be very competitive.

Ralph Fuchs, the President and primary instructor, has been involved in first aid for many years as a member of the St. John Ambulance Brigade (now called Community Services). The Brigade is the arm of St. John Ambulance that attends public events to provide first aid to anyone who becomes sick or injured. During this time Ralph obtained valuable practical experience, which is reflected in his teaching.

Ralph was a charter member of the St. Albert Division of the Brigade and before taking a break from the Brigade to pursue other activities, moved up in the organization to the position of Deputy Provincial Commissioner. Ralph is an Officer in the Order of St. John.

After taking early retirement from TELUS Communications with almost 35 years of service, and not yet ready to retire completely, Ralph decided to capitalize on his first aid experience and his enjoyment in meeting and working with people. He became certified as a St. John Ambulance instructor in 2000 and since than has been teaching first aid and CPR for St. John Ambulance as well as for his own clients.

In 2005, Ralph was awarded the Lyle E. Sproat award for excellence in teaching.

Ralph does most of the teaching himself but will from time to time contract work to other, carefully chosen, St. John Ambulance licensed instructors.
